Bolzano Nord exit, S.S. 241 Grande Strada delle Dolomiti – Passo Costalunga – Val di Fassa (distance 40 km). From Vigo, follow the direction of Soraga and Moena downwards.

Starting June 2016 the “ZTL” (restricted area zone) of Moena is no longer valid
It is now allowed the free entry to Moena 24h-24h for those coming from the South entrance (Highway – Strada R. Loewy) and from Passo San Pellegrino (Strada de Sèn Pelegrin).
Regarding the North entrance (Strada de Cernadoi and Piaz De Ramon) it remains forbidden driving in both directions (outgoing and incoming). The road system is controlled by cameras with optical license plate reading and the violation is sanctioned with automatic fine sent home. In this case, just follow the road signs for Moena center and take the entrance from Passo San Pellegrino.
Be careful! Travellers getting out of the A22 Brennero Egna/Ora highway and heading for Val di Fiemme and Fassa should pay attention to the mobile-radar speed control devices, in particular when approaching villages.
Choose the shortest way to reach Val di Fassa (Moena), in the north-eastern corner of Trentino, with Google Maps (https://www.google.it/maps) or ViaMichelin (http://www.viamichelin.it/).
Driving rules: from the beginning of November to mid April, all vehicles must be equipped with winter tires or have snow chains on board. In Italy, dipped headlights must be used on all out of town roads, during the day, at all times.

The nearest train stations are: Trento, Bolzano and Ora. From the stations there daily bus connections to Val di Fassa by Trentino Trasporti (Trento) and SAD line (Bolzano e Ora). Tickets can be bought at the ticket counter or on the bus.

Arriving at Bolzano (recommended) you continue the trip by bus (SAD lines) through Passo Costalunga (ca 49 Km). In this case Moena is not directly accessible, the nearest stop is Vigo di Fassa at 6 Km. The SAD bus stop is in front of the train station of Bolzano, or the bus station at 100 m on the left.
